Where is the training held?Usually at your business premises using your own computers. Optionally, we can provide training laptops, or you can visit us at one of our Training Centres. We can arrange alternative venues at cost if required. Do you run public scheduled courses? Not at present. We deliver training to business customers at their own premises at a time to suit our customers. Do you teach individuals at home? No. We only deliver training at business premises. What are the course times?Full day courses start at 9:30 am and finish at 4:30 pm with lunch and refreshment breaks included. Half day courses run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Times can be varied by agreement if necessary. How much do courses cost? Please see our Prices page for details. How many people can we put on a course? To ensure that delegates get the maximum benefit from the training, we recommend no more than 8 delegates per course. Do you provide handouts? We provide a training manual in electronic form (e.g. PDF), which may be distributed to each delegate. Paper copies of manuals can be provided for £10 per copy. Can we run a single course for people with different levels of experience? We recommend you try to avoid this if possible. Putting novices and experienced users on the same course means that it is not possible to pace the course well for all delegates. If you have just a few delegates of different abilities, it may be better to consider a workshop day, or two half day courses, which we could tailor around your requirements. How do we know who to put onto which course?A Training Needs Analysis can be undertaken, either by you or by us. All the topics covered on each of our courses are listed on a TNA form. If, for example, you wanted Microsoft Excel training, but you were unsure which level to book delegates onto, each delegate would be given an Excel TNA form. They would then indicate which topics they did / did not know. From this, we would recommend which level of course the delegates should attend. Do you provide Microsoft Office 2010 training?Yes. Do you provide upgrade training?Yes. For example, if you are upgrading from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2010, we have a course that covers the main differences between the two versions, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint. We can also provide upgrade training for Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint on their own. I have a lot of training to organise - can you help?Yes - we'd be happy to help. We can provide free advice and guidance on any aspect of our training services. If appropriate, we may also offer to visit for a meeting or two to help you organise your training as effectively as possible - and don't forget, we can always carry out a training needs analysis for you. What equipment do we need to provide? You will need to supply one PC with appropriate software per delegate, along with one shared printer and a flip chart. We can arrange equipment hire if necessary - but this can be quite costly. |
